Fans galore... Definitely helps to keep IC temps down when parked Duct tape to extend IC seal because of 1/2\" hood lift, Stg 1 hood mod :)
Cruse 70 MPH 25C Amb. \"dry IC\" Tilt, hood lift & insul. Top=IC temp,Left=IC air out temp, Right=IC air in temp
Cruse 70 MPH 25C amb.\"dry IC\" before tilt & insul. Top=IC temp, Left=IC air out temp, Right=IC air in temp
Cruse 70 MPH 25C Amb. \"wet IC\" before IC tilt & hood lift, top=IC temp, left=IC air out temp, right=IC air in temp
Cruse 70 MPH Hood lift, tilt & insul 25C Amb. \"wet IC\" Top=IC temp, Left=IC out temp. colder than ambient temp. air is going into engine :), Right=IC air in from turbo.
1st effort, Ice stays in Insulated jug for 4+ HRs and allows for colder than ambient air to be fed into engine,& 3/4\" IC tilt at bolts allows much faster cooldown of IC than stock, about 1/2 as long as compared to stock cooldown times.
Water sprayers & splitter Made from 2 paint stir sticks & duct tape :) . 1st experimental splitter, duct tape to extend IC seal because of 1/2\" hood lift.
3/4\" IC tilt Helps IC cool down MUCH faster, Less then 1/2 as long as without tilt
Insulated inside & out turbo heat shield & extra shield/chimny. 2nd attempt
Vent fan & 1/2\" hood lift at hinge bolts
More fans galore, Stg 2 hood mods. :) Now on a 75*F day ambient I can keep the IC temps below 85*F when car is parked, and at ambient or lower when driving in the city. :) :) :)
Hood lift 1/2\" Major airflow impruvement through IC and allows hot air out from under hood
1/2\" hood lift outside view...Not necesarially an improvement for airflow through IC at high speed with stock hood set up without vents & STi scoop.
Hood scoop inside hood scoop & front badge and grill cut out
Front oval delete and better CdA with front air dam in front of tires.
Hood vents to help lower under hood air pressure & the front air dam edges... supposed to help CdA quite a bit in front of tires.
Difference between stock and JDM/STi hood scoops
JDM STI hoodscoop & vents with fans & hump to lower air pressure for air to get sucked out of engine compartment by lowerd pressure above hump
My only bling, red calipers = 5 + HP at the wheels ... No??
Cobb lightweight pully. Crucials up & down pipes, they did actually lowered under hood temps fairly signifficantly.
park for 15 minutes
